In Puls Biznesu, which cites the Polish Press Agency, we read:
The new rate for 1,000 l of motor petrol will increase to PLN 155.49 from PLN 138.49. The charge for 1,000 l of diesel fuel and products made by mixing these oils with biocomponents, as well as biocomponents constituting stand-alone fuels, will rise to PLN 323.34 from PLN 306.34, or by 5.5%.
The service adds:
The ministry also announced that the charge for 1,000 kg of gases will increase to PLN 187.55 from PLN 170.55, which means an increase of nearly 10%.
Ministry officials stress:
The change in rates has no effect whatsoever on fuel prices and does not affect drivers.
And they conclude:
The increase in fuel levy rates by PLN 17 per 1,000 l and 1,000 kg, introduced by the announcement of the Minister of Infrastructure of 25 February 2020 amending the announcement on the fuel levy rate for 2020 (M.P. item 211), applies exclusively to 2020 and is neutral for fuel prices due to the simultaneous reduction of excise duty rates by PLN 17 during the same period.
Details are available on the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure. The changes will take effect on 1 March.
