More than 200 people gathered outside the District Court in Bolesławiec on Wednesday evening. They protested against the law on judges’ liability planned by Prawo i Sprawiedliwość. The amendment submitted by PiS provides, among other things, for the possibility of punishing people for questioning the effectiveness of another judge’s appointment or for political activity.
– We are not the inferior sort; we are Poles who care deeply about the good of the country. Every day, we must show that we do not agree to being treated this way or to such laws – said Dariusz Sas. – Let us not lose hope; this government will end one day.

– Bolesławiec has awakened, just as all of Poland is awakening. We do not want what happened before to happen again. We are together, and a drop hollows out a stone. Thank you all for your courage – said Piotr Roman, mayor of Bolesławiec.
– I wanted to express my great sorrow. I am in contact with young people, and I wanted to express my deep sorrow toward this generation that does not care about politics. They care about new car rims and new paint. This attitude exists. Parents! Talk to your children and explain to them what this is really about. They do not know. We have a great deal of work to do – said Bogusław Nowak of Piwnica Paryska.
Demonstrations took place in dozens of Polish cities.
