The reflexology treatments offered at the clinic come to the aid of all those who, in search of health and relaxation, have visited many places without achieving full satisfaction. Reflexology is a therapy that is often confused with massage or acupressure. For some, the difference may seem to be only in the name, but in reality these three forms of treatment have only touch in common.

What does reflexology involve?

Classical massage is generally not a therapeutic method. It is a form of mechanical relaxation of the body's superficial tissues; it brings relaxation and reduces tension. Therapy, on the other hand, leaves long-lasting traces in the memory of the treated tissues, affecting every aspect of human functioning: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Under the influence of regularly performed therapy, the body in a sense rearranges itself, rebuilds and regenerates, returns to its reserves of health and regains balance. It may remain in this state for a long time.

The basic reflexology technique is applying pressure to a small area of the body: the feet, hands, face, ears, intestines or calves. The pressure is deep, precise and rhythmic, and is applied for a specific purpose. During the therapy, areas of the brain responsible for particular organs are stimulated.

At the clinic, we offer foot and hand reflexology. Each of these forms of therapy has its own specific effects and purpose, making it suitable for virtually anyone who wants to improve their psychophysical condition.

Foot reflexology

Foot reflexology is the most universal form of therapy, as it can be used to stimulate, unblock and harmonize the functioning of the entire body. After approximately 20 minutes of treatment, one feels significant relaxation and a reduction in tension. During an hour-long treatment, more than 80 reflex points corresponding to organs and body systems are pressed. As a result of the therapy, we obtain a comprehensive picture of the state of health and can establish a course of action aimed at improving and maintaining health in the future.

Benefits of foot reflexology

  • relieves headaches and migraines
  • helps with sinus pain
  • helps alleviate colds
  • regulates metabolic problems
  • relieves pain in the spine, joints and back
  • supports the urinary system
  • regulates the functioning of the hormonal system
  • regulates circulation and helps improve breathing
  • relieves sore feet
  • reduces lymphatic congestion
  • reduces tension and alleviates the effects of stress

Hand reflexology—who is it most often recommended for?

The technique and effects of the treatment are the same as in foot reflexology. It involves applying pressure across the entire hand, and often also along the arm up to the elbow. The treatment is intended for people who work with their hands every day: doctors, dentists, beauticians, hairdressers, drivers and people who work at computers. In addition to the health benefits listed above, it can provide exceptional relief and relaxation for the hands. The treatment also quickly brings relaxation and reduces the effects of stress.

Acupressure facial massage

This massage is not a typical reflexology treatment, but a combination of acupressure and Hawaiian massage.
It involves applying pressure to and relaxing the 20 most important points on key meridians located on the face. It brings relief and relaxes tense muscles of the face, jaw and mandible. Gentle movements that tighten the facial skin improve its condition and complexion. The treatment quickly relaxes the body and mind.

Hot Herbal Compress Massage Straight from India

Finally, we invite you to try something special: a massage that Gabriela, who runs the reflexology clinic, learned in Kerala, India—the homeland of Ayurveda.

The compresses are cotton pouches containing crushed herbs, which are heated in warm grapeseed oil. Plant extracts dissolved in the warm oil improve blood flow, nourish and firm the skin. As a result, the skin of the person receiving the massage looks younger and healthier. Depending on the contents of the compress, it can produce a warming, cooling or typically relaxing effect.

Compress massage can complement foot reflexology or be performed as a separate full-body massage, or a massage of any chosen part of the body. Compress massages are already available at some clinics, but they are usually Thai massages. We offer an original Indian massage whose effects provide long-lasting relaxation, calm and well-being.
The herbs you can choose from are: mint and lemongrass, cinnamon and coffee, or red pepper, cloves, ginger and chocolate. You make the choice yourself. We warmly invite you.

As you can see, and as those who have used the services of the reflexology clinic so far have discovered, it is worth trying these original methods, which are now available, to take care of your own health and appearance.
