Running second on the Law and Justice list, Paweł Hreniak, the incumbent Lower Silesian voivode, received 15,166 votes in constituency No. 3 and won a seat in parliament.
“This is an absolutely deliberate decision. I think that, first and foremost, we must thank the voters who voted for me; there were very many of them. You run in elections in order to take up a seat, and that is what I am doing,” the voivode said in an interview with Polskie Radio Wrocław.
It is not yet known who will replace P. Hreniak. It is speculated that it will be Marcin Krzyżanowski, a close associate of PiS MP Mirosława Stachowiak-Różecka.
