On a rainy Saturday afternoon (September 7), Piast Wykroty hosted Nysa Zgorzelec. The hosts attacked more boldly from the opening minutes. Piast players ventured into Nysa’s penalty area several times, but they were also caught offside.
The hosts’ attacks paid off in the 30th minute of the match. A visiting player handled the ball in his own penalty area, and the referee awarded a penalty without hesitation. Paweł Rissmann confidently converted the spot kick to make it 1–0 for Piast.
The score was already 2–0 in the 40th minute. This time, the goal was scored by Dominik Szydlarski. After the change of ends, the visitors set about making up the deficit. Immediately after play resumed, a visiting player hit the crossbar of Piast’s goal. However, the score did not change again.
Nysa tried to score at least a consolation goal, but instead there was only a second shot against the crossbar. Piast’s victory could have been more emphatic.
