Ten people were working in the danger zone; nine withdrew, while one miner was brought out after a rescue operation. A commission will investigate the cause and effects of the tremor. According to Anna Osadczuk, director of communications at KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., such tremors occur spontaneously. Despite the tremor in one section, the others are operating normally, Anna Osadczuk explained. Section G-2 will be cleared to resume operations by a special commission after the hazards have been assessed.
