The match in the first round of the Jelenia Góra District League, in which BKS hosted Włókniarz Mirsk at Spółdzielcza Street, ended in a goalless draw. The game was played on Thursday (15 August).
The first half was not particularly exciting. There was plenty of battling in midfield. Dorian Latała’s shot was worth noting, but the visiting goalkeeper managed to deflect the ball beyond the goal line. It is also worth mentioning that the first half was watched from the stands by Andrzej Padewski, President of the Board of the Lower Silesian Football Association.
In the second half, BKS quickened the pace and at times pinned the visitors inside their penalty area. However, the team could not finish the chances it created effectively, and this did not translate into goals. The ball hit the crossbar, then the post, then a defender... or went straight at the goalkeeper... Marek Majka, Adrian Kulesza, Filip Zagórski and Łukasz Graczyk all failed to take advantage of their opportunities. In the end, the fans saw not a single goal.
The visitors will certainly be pleased with Thursday’s draw. Playing virtually without substitutes and with a large dose of luck, they managed to take a point away from Spółdzielcza Street.
