On Saturday (August 3), BKS played its second friendly match at the Water Sports Centre field in Bolesławiec. After an away win over Czarni Żagań, this time Sebastian Tylutki’s players suffered a heavy 2–5 (1–3) defeat to Gryf Gryfów Śląski, who are newcomers to the Lower Silesian fourth division. The match began according to the Bolesławiec side’s plan.

In the 10th minute, a free-kick taken by Łukasz Graczyk gave BKS the lead. However, the ambitiously playing visitors equalized shortly afterwards. Before the break, the visitors from Gryfów scored two more goals. The goals came after crosses into the penalty area, with our players showing somewhat sleepy defending.

After the break, BKS clearly increased the tempo and pressed the visitors hard for 15 minutes. However, Gryf defended effectively and managed to land two more blows after BKS mistakes. BKS had several good opportunities, but responded successfully only once. Adrian Puzio struck beautifully from outside the penalty area and beat the visitors’ goalkeeper, Kacper Różnicki.

The match ended with a 5–2 victory for Gryf Gryfów Śląski. The defeat will certainly give the BKS coach plenty of pointers on what to improve in the team’s play and what to work on. The team still lacks accuracy, cohesion and confidence (especially among the younger players). All of this can be achieved, provided they work solidly in training.
