The event’s patrons and sponsors were Oxpress, Opałkowa Chata Restaurant, Bahama Wake, Nastula Building Solutions, Budoteka, MGM construction services, Format S.C Reklama, MAXI TAXI and NAV-SERVIS.

The tournament attracted considerable interest, with a total of 16 two-person teams entering the competition; some of the players had also taken part in previous tournaments organized by the Oxpress Team and Kamil Razik. So far, Bolesławiec residents have had the opportunity to cheer on the best volleyball teams three times; all the events were held at the new sports and recreation facility—the gymnasium at the Oxpress building on Aleja Tysiąclecia.

“Today’s event is our first tournament organized in cooperation with MOSiR and held outdoors, during which we managed to attract so many sponsors. Opałkowa Chata has been with us from the beginning, but other local companies also funded valuable prizes,” says a pleased Kamil Razik, the tournament organizer and an enthusiastic volleyball player.

The First Oxpress Cup Tournament began at 10:00 a.m. and was played using the Brazilian system for 16 teams, giving spectators the opportunity to watch 30 matches at a very high level. The final was won by Kacper Pańczyk and Maciej Szaynowski; second place went to Kamil Razik and Paweł Kozłowski; third place was won by Michał and Maciej Kaczmarek (the tournament’s MVP), while the duo of Łukasz Krawiec and Robert Walkowiak finished just outside the podium places. The beautiful trophies and prizes were presented by the owner of the Oxpress Team, Mr. Dariusz Tyrakowski.

“Of course, we do not intend to stop with today’s tournament. Since we will welcome new first-year students to Oxpress High School in September, and many of them are interested in practicing sport at a high level, we want to create a strong volleyball team led and coached by our irreplaceable Kamil Razik. We will organize more and more sporting events and activities,” says the high school principal, Monika Pluszczewicz.

We remind you that Public Oxpress General Secondary School is holding supplementary admissions from July 16 to 19. There are still two places available for the best candidates.
