Coach Dariusz Pachnik:
We have official confirmation that, during a meeting of the board of the Polish Orienteering Association, the composition of Poland’s national team for the European Junior Orienteering Championships was approved. The event will be held from 28 to 30 June in Grodno, Belarus.
The board accepted the recommendation of national team coach Tomasz Pabich, who selected the team based on results from five qualifying races. According to the ranking established in this way, Stanisław Pachnik, a resident of Lubków (Warta Bolesławiecka commune), placed third in the M16 category.
In addition to Stanisław, the following athletes will represent the white-and-red colors in this category: Jan Sztranek from Pabianice, Mikołaj Paterek from Mochy (Wolsztyn County), and Grzegorz Nowak from Gdynia.
D. Pachnik:
Before the European Championships, we face the very demanding Polish Championships in the classic distance and relay race this coming weekend, in the area around Jelenia Góra (Piechowice, Jagniątków). Stasiu will certainly fight for top places there.
Congratulations, and best wishes for further success.
