The Leszek Tyberek Marathon, organized in memory of the kind-hearted and sincere former President of the Municipal “Sum” Club. Mr. Leszek was a true fishing enthusiast. He always fished with his wife, Mrs. Michalina, who shared his passion and supported him. The competitors who remembered him said that privately he was the “life and soul of the company” and a very cheerful man.
This year, the marathon was traditionally held at the “Krępnica” reservoir. Both the weather and attendance among the competitors were favorable. The fish were very demanding, and the crystal-clear water did not make the anglers’ task any easier. They mostly caught small fish, with a few exceptions.
The competition was held in three rounds. After each round, the judges weighed the fish and tallied the results. During breaks, the competitors met for a shared meal, where everyone
remained in good spirits despite the varying bites.

The Club’s board presented all participants with symbolic gifts in the form of groundbait, additives and small fishing accessories.
