It was not supposed to look like this, one could say after Bolesławiec’s defeat against Włókniarz Mirsk. Following their recent victory over Odra Ścinawa, BKS were considered the favourites for Saturday’s match. Unfortunately, the reality of the game turned out to be completely different.

In front of their home crowd, Bolesławiec produced a display of ineffective football. The visitors mainly focused on defending and waited for the right moment to counterattack. This tactic proved effective. In the 30th minute, after a mistake by the hosts, Włókniarz’s players launched a counterattack, which Jakub Dasiak converted into a goal. BKS, stung into action, tried to equalise, but unfortunately nothing came of it.

After a poor first half, there was still a chance to make up the deficit in the second. Unfortunately, despite their commitment, nothing worked for our players. There was complete impotence. Off-target shots, or shots on target that were too weak to surprise the young goalkeeper from Mirsk, alternated with turnovers and inaccurate passes. After a poor performance, BKS lost 0:1 to Włókniarz and further complicated their situation in the table.

In addition, just before the end of the match, Adrian Puzio was fouled by a visiting player and suffered an injury. An ambulance took him to hospital, but the referee did not see a foul and even showed the young BKS player a yellow card... Meanwhile, his brother Damian Puzio received a red card for a foul on an opponent and had to leave the pitch.
