The incident occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on the night from Monday to Tuesday. Firefighters received information about smoke in a tenement building at 4 Armii Krajowej Street in Bolesławiec. Five fire engines, including an aerial ladder, were sent to the scene.
It turned out that there was smoke in one of the apartments. A man had left a pot on the stove.
No one was injured, and emergency medical responders attended to the 31-year-old man, who was slightly poisoned by smoke. However, he refused transport to hospital and returned home.
