The “Wprost” Eagles are awards for companies, local governments, outstanding regional personalities, as well as cross-border and transnational projects. The award recognizes those who make a special contribution to the development of the economy, the region and the country, shaping today’s Poland through their daily efforts. The ranking of award recipients is prepared jointly with the “Wprost” editorial team by the Bisnode business information agency.
On March 27, 2019, awards for regional and business leaders were presented during a gala in Wrocław. During the ceremony, Piotr Roman, president of Bolesławiec, received the “Wprost” Eagle statuette in the regional personality category.
The award in the “regional personalities” category is given to people who are ambassadors of the region and whose achievements extend beyond its borders.
The symbol of the honors presented was the emblem of the Polish state—the image of the White Eagle—which had hung at the headquarters of the President and Government of the Second Polish Republic at 43 Eaton Place in London since 1945.
