The reconstruction of the county road, Grunwaldzka Street, is underway. Work on the roadway itself began today, meaning that drivers should expect even greater difficulties there.

However, employees of the Municipal Communal Services Department in Bolesławiec assure that the work will be carried out in a way that causes as little inconvenience as possible for residents.

The work is scheduled to be completed in May this year. But, as MZGK announces, if weather conditions permit, the investment will be completed sooner.

Let us recall. On March 19, we reported that heavy equipment had entered the construction site:

Grunwaldzka Street is being reconstructed up to the intersection with Tamka Street. In total, 110 metres of roadway and pavement. The exit from Sądowa Street onto Grunwaldzka Street will also be reconstructed. It is currently one of the most problematic and busiest sections in Bolesławiec. The roadway is too narrow, and traffic jams often form. Drivers have trouble turning right, from Grunwaldzka Street into Tamka Street.

What will be done?

The pavement will be removed along its entire length, while the roadway will be levelled, reinforced and covered with new asphalt. After the renovation, the roadway will be wider; an additional traffic lane is planned for vehicles turning from Sądowa Street towards the intersection.

The traffic lights will be reconstructed. In addition, MZGK will build a path in the park and a new entrance to the rear of the courthouse.

Bolesławiec County:

Drivers must prepare for traffic difficulties. The Bolesławiec County Head asks you for your understanding.
