The start of the match did not suggest such a defeat for Sebastian Tylutki’s team. Both sides fought an even battle, and at times BKS managed to take the initiative. Górnik Złotoryja did manage to shoot nicely at our goal twice, but Kacper Różnicki was on hand. In the 30th minute, Marek Majka made a good showing on the left, but the BKS striker’s shot was parried by the hosts’ goalkeeper.
Filip Zagórski also had a chance, but his shot from outside the penalty area went over Górnik Złotoryja’s crossbar. When it seemed that the teams would go into the break level at 0–0, Górnik struck just before half-time. In the 44th minute, following a corner, Adrian Marchewka headed the ball into our net, and the score at the break was 1–0 to Górnik Złotoryja.
If BKS supporters were hoping for a better performance from their players after the break, unfortunately they were disappointed. Our boys were only a shadow of the team from the first half, and chances to equalise were few and far between. The only moment worth mentioning was Adrian Puzio’s fine shot from outside the penalty area, which missed Górnik Złotoryja’s goal by centimetres. The hosts controlled the game and, with two more fine shots from outside the penalty area, added another two goals. Górnik’s second goal came in the 77th minute, after a shot by Mateusz Poparda. The final score was set in the 85th minute by Adrian Krzeszowiec.
BKS Bolesławiec will play its next match in front of its home supporters. On 23 March, at Spółdzielcza, we will host Victoria Ruszów.
