President Piotr Roman and county governor Tomasz Gabrysiak invite you to a meeting with Prof. Robert Gwiazdowski. The event’s topic is the question: When will Poles finally start earning more?

The meeting will take place on 30 January at the Old Theatre at 1 Teatralna Street in Bolesławiec. It begins at 6:00 p.m.. Admission is free.

For several days, national media have been abuzz with reports that Robert Gwiazdowski, a renowned lawyer, economic commentator and tax expert, intends to enter politics. On the wiadomoscgwiazdowskiego.pl website, we read:

Ladies and Gentlemen!

Is there a chance to build a coalition for a strong Poland in Europe? A coalition of common sense that will change the way politics is conducted in our country? Can a movement emerge that will harness the great energy of Poles, which is currently being wasted in unproductive party disputes and an avalanche of regulations and taxes? Will we finally manage to build a strong economy—for only economically strong countries matter in Europe? In my opinion, the answers to these questions are: YES. What do you think?

I am speaking with many people who can contribute to this cause, and today I am reaching out to you. How many of us are there? Let us count ourselves and create this community together. Let us start now on this website. I hope you will fill in the form and that we will stay in touch.

As Rzeczpospolita writes, during a meeting with his supporters, the politician in spe said:

For 30 years I have been talking about my ideas. I support single-member constituencies; I want more money to go to local governments; I have a project for universal ownership transfer.

I am not counting on professional politicians; I am talking with entrepreneurs and local government officials who view central politics as I do. The PO–PiS coalition must be broken up..

Will there be cooperation with Janusz Korwin-Mikke?

R. Gwiazdowski: “Mr Janusz has already done so many stupid things that the chance of him not doing any now is zero,” he said.

What do you think? Does Gwiazdowski’s party have a chance to become a serious player on the Polish political scene? Will you come to the meeting?
