On Thursday (22 November), members of BKS attended the club’s general electoral meeting in the hall of the Bolesławiec County Office. During the meeting, the report on the club’s activities was adopted. The previous board was granted a discharge. A new club board was also elected. The new board consists of: Mariusz Rutkowski, Marcin Zapiór, former BKS president Michał Lis and Krystian Miżdal. The president will be elected at the next meeting. It will be one of the people serving on the board.
A new audit committee was also appointed during Thursday’s meeting. It will oversee the board’s work. Its members are: Jerzy Stanik, Piotr Bieńkowski and Edward Spraski. The situation at the club was also discussed. Sebastian Tylutki – the senior team’s coach – said that the goal for the near future is to keep the team in the fourth division. The coach’s words also indicate that the autumn squad will remain at Spółdzielcza in the spring. BKS will also try to recruit several new players from the district.
Junior team coach Maciej Sawicki spoke about the continually growing number of children training at BKS. A total of 250 players train at the club. In some children’s groups, the number of young footballers has doubled. The children’s and youth teams are achieving increasingly better results. Unfortunately, the club’s biggest problem is the lack of a place to train and play friendly matches during the autumn and winter period. No small-sided football pitch or sports hall can replace a full-size artificial pitch. The lack of such a pitch is a problem not only for BKS. Many football teams from the entire region would certainly use such a facility. The nearest pitches of this kind are in Zgorzelec and Legnica.
