In Saturday’s match, the visitors, who had been clear favorites to win before the game, performed better than our team, although at times we were able to put up an even fight against the higher-ranked opponents. In the first half, Chrobry II Głogów controlled the game, but this did not translate into chances in our penalty area. The Bolesławiec team’s defensive block performed well, snuffing out all of the visitors’ attacks at an early stage. Unfortunately, just before the break, after losing the ball in midfield, Chrobry took the lead at 1–0 through a goal by Paul Filipowicz.
In the second half, the BKS Bolesławiec players ambitiously tried to equalize, but unsuccessfully, repeatedly running into a wall. We managed to create the beginnings of a good chance several times, but this did not result in a goal for us. BKS’s more open play meant that Chrobry II Głogów counterattacked us twice near the end, putting the ball into our net on both occasions.
The leaders from Głogów deservedly won Saturday’s encounter. It is a shame that we conceded just before the break, as this determined the course of the second half. If we want to think about winning, however, we definitely need to improve our finishing. Saturday’s match was the last of the autumn round; instead of a match against Olimpia Kowary, we will have a bye next week.
