The Wrocław Opera Choir currently operates under the musical direction of Anny Grabowskiej-Borys. The Choir’s artists participate in numerous prestigious opera productions, not only providing the vocal accompaniment (e.g. Orpheus and Eurydice by Mariusz Treliński), but also appearing as a collective stage protagonist (The Fiddler on the Roof, Requiem in D minor).
The programme of the Bolesławiec concert is directly connected with Poland’s regaining of independence. We will hear works by renowned Polish composers, such as Fryderyk Chopin and Karol Szymanowski, as well as songs written by soldiers who fought for the freedom of our country.
The concert will take place on Saturday, November 10, at the Old Theatre. It begins at 5:00 p.m.. Admission is free.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, November 11, the Bolesławiec County Office invites residents to a concert celebrating the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence—OperaTeam for Independence.
The programme will include the most beautiful songs, arias and duets by Polish composers, solo piano pieces, as well as traditional Polish songs associated with Independence Day, performed by four voices accompanied by piano.
The OperaTeam vocal quartet will perform: Magda Krysztoforska-Beucher (soprano), Judyta Fąfara (mezzo-soprano), David Beucher (tenor), Krzysztof Caban (baritone). Anna Hajduk will play the piano.
