On Saturday (27 October), BKS’s senior team hosted Karkonosze Jelenia Góra at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec. For security reasons, the 12th-round match in the Lower Silesian fourth division was played without spectators, while police kept order at the stadium entrances.
Little happened on the pitch during the opening 15 minutes. Both teams played carefully in defence. One noteworthy move came when Filip Zagórski sprinted down the right flank and played the ball across the goal line. Łukasz Graczyk was just too late to reach it, and the ball went past the BKS striker. In the 30th minute, the same player headed a shot towards goal. Unfortunately, the ball went just wide of the visitors’ post. Just before half-time, the Karkonosze players had plenty of reason to count themselves lucky. Sławomir Dul headed towards their goal, but the visitors were saved by the post.
After the break, BKS continued trying to threaten the KSK goal, but lacked an effective finish. The visitors also had several chances, but their shots missed Kacper Różnicki’s goal. The most dangerous moment came when one of the visitors’ players shot from a tight angle and hit the side netting. Łukasz Graczyk, Marek Majka, Adrian Kulesza and Filip Zagórski had chances for BKS. After the latter’s shot, the Karkonosze goalkeeper managed, with difficulty, to turn the ball onto the post.
The match ended in a goalless draw, which pleased the visitors more.
