This coming Saturday, a match in the 21st round of the Lower Silesian fourth division will be played at the stadium in Bolesławiec. BKS will face Karkonosze Jelenia Góra. The match will begin at 4:00 p.m. However, the derby will take place without visiting supporters. The reason is a penalty imposed by the Disciplinary Department of the Lower Silesian Football Association on the supporters of the Jelenia Góra side. Karkonosze supporters are banned from attending their team’s away matches. The penalty remains in force until the end of the 2008/2009 season. The ban was issued because of the supporters’ conduct and their invasion of the pitch. The incident occurred during the Jelenia Góra team’s match in Świebodzice.

DZPN: the ban has been in force since it was announced
We received unofficial information that Jelenia Góra supporters had appealed against the decision of the DZPN Disciplinary Department. They therefore planned to travel to the match in Bolesławiec. As it turned out, the information about the appeal was untrue. What is more, the DZPN decision has been in force since it was announced. It can be appealed, but, as we were informed by DZPN, no appeal had been submitted by Friday noon. Consequently, the organised group of Karkonosze supporters will not be allowed to enter the stadium in Bolesławiec. Even the host of the match, BKS Bobrzanie, may be penalised for failing to comply with the ban.
