Bait containing the vaccine will be dropped from aircraft outside built-up areas. People should not touch, pick up or destroy the laid-out bait.

From April 20 to 26, the following rules apply throughout the Lower Silesian Voivodeship:

  • a ban on hunting game with dogs
  • a ban on allowing dogs and cats to roam freely
  • farm dogs must be kept tethered, while cats must be kept indoors.

Any case of human contact with the laid-out vaccine must be reported to the health service, while any case of an animal coming into contact with the bait must be reported to the veterinary service. Residents are asked to exercise particular caution during the vaccination campaign.
