The third edition of the “Zakręceni w przestrzeni” competition was held under the slogan OD_NOWA. The jury awarded seven prizes in the primary school category, as well as one prize and four distinctions in the secondary school category. The best entries were selected from more than 200 works submitted by students from 52 schools.
The task for participants in the “Zakręceni w przestrzeni” competition was to propose changes to their immediate surroundings—a school, library, community center or cultural center. Sixth-grader Maja Wojtowicz, who won in her age category (primary schools, grades 4–6), presented an idea for a school botanical garden.
It included, among other things, a vegetable and herb garden, a greenhouse, a station for conducting scientific observations and a special place for birds. As a result, the work perfectly reflects the OD_NOWA slogan, which was also intended to encourage students even more to use ecological materials, upcycle unnecessary items and include greenery in their concepts.
The “Zakręceni w przestrzeni” competition was organized by WSPÓLNIE – Fundacja LafargeHolcim as part of the ECO-MIASTO project.
