Saturday’s match began with a minute of silence in memory of the deceased father of BKS player Sławek Dul. Both teams produced an interesting and evenly matched spectacle, and based on the course of play, a draw would have been a fair result. The first half belonged to BKS Bolesławiec. Our team attacked more frequently, but Odra Ścinawa’s well-organized defense was not caught off guard. Focused on defending, the visitors rarely ventured near our penalty area. In the 41st minute, our team should have taken a 1–0 lead. Adrian Kulesza found space in the penalty area and fired a powerful shot at goal. Unfortunately, the shot went straight at the goalkeeper, who prevented a goal. We therefore went into halftime with a goalless draw.

After the break, the visitors began to find their rhythm. Odra Ścinawa controlled the game and spent more time in our half. However, BKS Bolesławiec’s well-organized defense snuffed out every threat at its source. In the 64th minute, Adrian Kulesza again had an excellent chance, with his header narrowly missing the visitors’ goal. When it seemed that the match would end in a goalless draw, the referee awarded a controversial penalty in stoppage time. Although Kacper Różnicki saved the spot kick, he was helpless when Cichuta converted the rebound, and the match ultimately ended in a 0–1 defeat for BKS Bolesławiec.

The referee’s decision caused controversy and a wave of protests from both the BKS players and local supporters. In their view, there had been no foul on the visiting player.
