On Saturday (25 August), BKS’s senior team played an away match in the third round of the Lower Silesian fourth division. The footballers coached by Sebastian Tylutki faced Victoria Ruszów. The match began brilliantly for the visitors. In the 3rd minute, Adrian Biały passed to Filip Zagórski, who, after a run down the left side of the pitch, put the ball into the home side’s net. The player struck into the far corner, leaving the goalkeeper no chance. Until half-time, BKS were in control and created several good chances. Damian Puzio missed the best one: in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper, he failed to find the net from 8 metres. BKS could have added another goal before the break, but Filip Zagórski’s free-kick cross hit the home side’s post.

In the second half, the hosts came into the game and equalised in the 60th minute. Bartosz Kopania beat Jakub Walczak to make it 1:1. Earlier, Adrian Kulesza had come close to scoring for BKS, but his header flew over the Ruszów goal. Conceding the goal acted on BKS like a proverbial red rag to a bull. While nobody had shied away from challenges up to that point and the game had at times been physical, it became even more heated after the goal. A few moments later, the visitors regained the lead. Łukasz Graczyk’s ball played across the goalmouth was brilliantly finished by Adrian Kulesza, who fired a powerful shot under the crossbar, giving the home goalkeeper no chance.

BKS held on to their lead until the final whistle, despite finishing the match with 9 players. Adrian Kulesza had to leave the pitch after receiving a second yellow card (the BKS player was first booked for a foul and later, in the referee’s opinion, tried to win a penalty). The scorer of the first goal, Filip Zagórski, also received a second yellow card for fouls. Despite being down to nine men, BKS held on for the win, and the 3 points travelled from Ruszów to Bolesławiec. BKS’s defence performed very well against Victoria. BKS Bolesławiec – Victoria Ruszów 2:1 (1:0).

BKS: Walczak – Biały, Lisowski, Dul, Pełdiak (63′ Zarzycki), Zagórski (91′ second yellow – sent off), Smolarek (85′ Kizyma), Szaja (46′ Graczyk), Puzio, Pochwała (68′ Zielonka (yellow)), Kulesza (81′ second yellow – sent off).
