On Saturday, the BKS Bobrzanie first team began its spring fixtures in the Lower Silesian fourth division. Their opponents were Górnik Złotoryja. The match began with concentrated attacks from the visitors. Our team, pushed back into defence, tried to counterattack, but the opening stages belonged to the visitors. In the 8th minute, Adam Popecki fired a dangerous shot at the BKS goal. Fortunately, it was just wide. A few minutes later, the Bolesławiec team had an opportunity. Following a corner, Adam Klimas shot at the Górnik goal. However, the visiting goalkeeper caught the ball without difficulty.

In the 30th minute, Sławomir Iskrzak shot wide. Three minutes later, Paweł Rissmann wasted a good opportunity by shooting too weakly. The BKS players seemed sluggish and out of sync. Loose balls and a lack of ideas in attack did not inspire optimism among the fans. In the 41st minute, Marek Kumoś illegally stopped an opponent in the penalty area. The referee showed him a yellow card and awarded a penalty. Adam Popecki stepped up to take it, making it 1:0 to the visitors. That was also the score at half-time.

BKS “woke up” in the second half. Our players attacked more frequently and took control of the game. Despite this, the visitors also created several dangerous chances. In the 61st minute, Mateusz Dudzic thundered a shot at Dawid Kizyma’s goal. Only a superb intervention by the Bolesławiec goalkeeper prevented the team from conceding another goal. In the 63rd minute, Sławomir Iskrzak produced an individual run and a beautiful shot from 17 metres. The popular “Iskra” ran over to the coaching bench to celebrate his goal with the coach. The goal motivated the Bolesławiec team. In the 66th minute, BKS were already leading 2:1. Krzysztof Szymański took advantage of confusion in the Górnik penalty area. Meanwhile, Michał Michalski had to leave the pitch. The visiting player received a second yellow card.
