On Thursday (June 28), the national team said goodbye to the World Cup in Russia. In their final match, Poland defeated Japan 1–0 with a goal by Jan Bednarek. However, the earlier 1–2 defeat to Senegal and 0–3 defeat to Colombia had already determined that our team would be eliminated from the competition.

We have several photos of Polish fans and video footage of the goal scored, filmed directly from the stadium in Volgograd during the Poland–Japan match, especially for our readers. We received the photos and video from Alexei, a Russian man who lives in Volgograd. Yesterday, he attended the match with his entire family. Alexei writes that he met many Poles. There was a great atmosphere both before and after the match. Everyone had a wonderful time and took photos together. Alexei also has fond memories of Bolesławiec. He visited our town during the ceramics festival and was delighted both with Bolesławiec itself and with the August festival. Finally, he sends his regards to everyone.
