BKS Bolesławiec were the favourites in Sunday’s clash, but this was not evident on the pitch in the first half. Our team performed moderately, while Łużyce Lubań, sensing our weakness, attacked dangerously. As early as the 2nd minute, the visitors shot at our goal, but the ball went over Bochnia’s crossbar. In this part of the match, BKS Bolesławiec were let down by their lack of accuracy, although we still had our chances.
In the 13th minute, Łukasz Graczyk decided to shoot, but the Łużyce Lubań goalkeeper tipped the ball for a corner. Three minutes later, Adrian Biały struck nicely, but the ball went just wide of the visitors’ post. In the 30th minute, Łukasz Graczyk was again in an excellent position, but the BKS Bolesławiec forward failed to control the ball, and once again we had to settle for disappointment. Towards the end of the first half, the visitors should have taken the lead. In the 38th minute, Bartosz Bochnia saved us from conceding, and shortly afterwards we owed the inaccurate finishing of a Łużyce player the fact that we went into the break level at 0–0.
After the break, our team’s play looked considerably better. BKS Bolesławiec began attacking, although we had to wait a little for the results. The opening stages of the second half were played in midfield, with only a few chances for either side. In the 66th minute, Adrian Kulesza headed nicely, but the ball went over the visitors’ goal. In the 67th minute, we could finally celebrate a goal. Adrian Kulesza created a good opportunity for Krystian Smolarek, who supplied Łukasz Graczyk with a good pass. Popularly known as Graczu, he put the ball into the net and gave us a 1–0 lead.
In the 70th minute, Damian Puzio struck a free kick well, but the ball went just wide of the Łużyce Lubań goal. In the 77th minute, after an excellent free-kick effort by Łukasz Graczyk, we extended our lead to 2–0, and it became clear that we would not let victory slip from our hands. In the 89th minute, following a pass from Mirosław Markowski, Adrian Kulesza found himself one-on-one and set the final score at 3–0 for BKS Bolesławiec with a skilful finish.
Czy BKS awansuje do IV ligi?
Sunday’s match was very difficult for us. At times, the players from Lubań played well, imposed their conditions on us and deserved to score a goal. Fortunately, BKS Bolesławiec once again showed character, and ultimately it was our boys who could celebrate after the final whistle. Our team will play its next match away against Stella Lubomierz (09.06, 17:00).
