The fire was noticed after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. A pile of branches and wood was burning near the railway tracks in Wilczy Las. Several fire service units were dispatched, including those that had taken part in ceremonies in Bolesławiec’s Market Square.
The fire was substantial and not easy to contain. After 2.5 hours, firefighters were still extinguishing the remains of the fire.
Arson cannot be ruled out, which is why the police are working at the scene.
