The collision occurred after 3:00 p.m. at a pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Wybickiego and Brody streets, near a school. The driver of a green Opel Vectra clipped a small boy with the left wing mirror. An ambulance arrived at the scene and took the child to hospital.
As we learned, the driver was sober, and the child probably ran into the road. Fortunately, the boy did not suffer any more serious injuries; he has a leg injury. Witnesses to the incident say that city guards usually help students cross the road at the crossing, but they were not there this time.
