On Tuesday, February 3, two dead women—a daughter-in-law and her mother-in-law—were found in one of the apartments on Opitza Street. Both had probably suffered carbon monoxide poisoning.
The older woman was 90, while the younger was 61. The body of the 61-year-old was found by her husband. A neighbor notified the police. “The bodies of two people were found in an apartment on Opitza Street. The causes of death are not yet known,” said Robert Brzeziński, deputy commander of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, the carbon monoxide concentration in the apartment was zero. Investigators are determining the causes of the tragedy
