In response to the appeal by Lower Silesian Education Superintendent Roman Kowalczyk, the student council of Bolesławiec’s “Construction School” organized a fundraiser among students and teachers for people affected by the gas explosion in Mirsk (Lwówek County). The accident took place on January 25, 2017.

As a result of a gas cylinder explosion, part of a tenement building collapsed. Among those affected is a family with five children, and its plight moved the community of the Construction School Complex the most. The school council raised more than PLN 320.

Anyone can join the initiative. The Mirsk Municipality has opened a special bank account for donations to affected residents. Payments can be made to the following account:

Help can also be provided by contacting the Municipal and Communal Social Welfare Centre in Mirsk directly, tel. no. 75 64 13 160. “Let us not remain indifferent and let us show solidarity with those affected!” appeals the community of the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec.
