In Bolesławiec County, 1,448 incidents occurred in 2017, including 417 fires and 945 local hazards. A total of 86 false alarms were also recorded. Fires were recorded, among other places,

  • 29 – in means of transport
  • 16 – in forests
  • 70 – in agriculture
  • 145 – in other facilities.

Local hazards:

  • 8 – in production and warehouse facilities
  • 244 involved means of transport (e.g. road accidents)
  • 438 – in other facilities (including 270 related to removing windthrown trees).

The rescue and firefighting operations involved crews from the State Fire Service Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Bolesławiec, crews of Volunteer Fire Brigades from across our county, and crews of the Military Fire Service from Świętoszów. “Some operations were conducted in cooperation with firefighting crews from units outside the county,” Bolesławiec firefighters say. “Our firefighter-rescuers also supported their colleagues during operations in neighboring counties.”

For comparison: in 2016, the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec recorded 1,171 incidents, including 326 fires, 765 local hazards and 80 false alarms.
