Among the interpellations submitted during the November session of the Bolesławiec City Council was one concerning the incomplete illumination of the Bolesławiec viaduct. Residents of the City of Ceramics noticed that some of the spotlights were switched off.

Andrzej Kuriata, head of the Public Procurement and Municipal Investments Department at the City Hall Andrzej Kuriata, explained that the viaduct belongs to PKP and that PKP manages the illumination. “As far as I know, the last inspection of the illumination was carried out in 2015,” the department head said. “But I also know that this illumination was inspected last week. I am convinced that it will be completed by Christmas.”

“Please believe me, we really are keeping an eye on this matter,” added Mayor Piotr Roman. “I would even have commissioned it today, but I cannot enter land that does not belong to us.”

The spotlights on the viaduct usually remain lit until 11:30 p.m. During the upcoming holidays, they are to remain lit all night.
