Thanks to the long-standing efforts of the Bolesławiec Bridge Club, our city has been granted the right to host a top-level sporting event. As many as 350 pairs, including national team representatives, take part in tournaments in the Polish Grand Prix series.
The right to organize the competition is granted only to centers that can boast a long-standing bridge tradition, such as Warsaw, Poznań, Sopot, Wrocław, Bydgoszcz, Łódź, Kielce, Piła, Słupsk, Sława and Kraków.
The Polish Grand Prix in our city is a great distinction for the local bridge community and, at the same time, a major opportunity. Whether this event will become a permanent fixture in Bolesławiec will depend on the professional organization of the competition.
BKB hopes that several hundred bridge players from Poland and abroad will come to our city. The club is convinced that, with the support of local governments, it will be possible to organize a top-level sporting event.
