On Tuesday, November 7, the new PKS bus station was opened. – I warmly welcome all guests, but in particular I warmly welcome the delegation of our staff: the people who, for years, overcoming various difficulties, have taken care every day to ensure that transport in our area is provided properly and appropriately – said Jacek Subik, president of the Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacji Samochodowej in Bolesławiec, during the ceremony. – A bus station meeting customers’ needs has always been a very important element of our policy of caring for passengers. And this quality distinguishes PKS from other local carriers.
Karol Stasik, Bolesławiec County executive:
Everything beautiful is born in pain. After many complications, the matter has ended very decently: we have a beautiful bus station. I wish PKS that this magnificent facility and the improvement in the quality of services would positively affect the company’s turnover
A few facts about the investment:
- The construction of the complex at Dolne Młyny and Wesoła streets, an important element of which is the PKS bus station, lasted seven months
- the bus station has: five platforms, a waiting room, a ticket office, timetable information, toilets for travellers, and a rest area for bus drivers
- the location of the facility provides easy access to the city centre and the offices of important authorities and institutions
- the bus station will be open at hours convenient for passengers
- the building is under constant security and surveillance.
The ribbon was cut by Karol Stasik, Józef Haluch, former president of the Bolesławiec Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacji Samochodowej, and Jacek Subik.
