On Saturday, 6 December, a chess competition organized by TOP Bolesławiec was held at Municipal Gymnasium No. 3 in Bolesławiec. Twenty-four chess players from Lower Silesia took part in the Blitz Tournament for the Cup of the Chairman of the Bolesławiec County Council.
The main sponsor of the event and the funder of the prizes was the County Office. The Municipality of Bolesławiec also assisted in organizing the tournament.
The tournament was played using the Swiss-system format. The chess players competed in three categories: open, juniors and younger juniors. Seweryn Stokłosa won the open category—and the entire competition. Kuba Kaczmarczyk was the best junior; both players are from Lubin. In the younger juniors category, first place went to TOP player Kacper Grela.
The prizes were presented to the best chess players by Karol Stasik, Chairman of the County Council.
