On Saturday (September 9), at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street, BKS hosted league leaders Victoria Ruszów. From the first minute, there was plenty of battling in midfield. There were few shots. The 0–0 scoreline lasted until halftime, although the hosts came closer to scoring and also kept possession for longer. First, Łukasz Graczyk failed to take advantage of a good opportunity; with only the goalkeeper in front of him, he shot over the crossbar. Krystian Smolarek had the second chance. The player received the ball in the penalty area but also failed to hit the target.
After the teams switched sides, the pattern of play was similar. BKS had more of the ball, but all their attacks ended in the penalty area of the well-organized visitors. A shot on target was missing. Among BKS’s more noteworthy chances was a corner taken by Łukasz Graczyk. The forward shot directly at goal, but Victoria’s goalkeeper managed to punch the ball away for another corner. The missed chances came back to haunt BKS in the 60th minute. From a tight angle, Jhonatan Borges shot, and the ball rippled the net. In the 80th minute, the visitors put the finishing touch to the match. After a rebound, Bartosz Kopania scored to make it 2–0. Victoria defeated BKS 2–0 (0–0). Next week, the team from Bolesławiec will host TS Parzyce at Spółdzielcza Street.
