The three ceramics differ considerably from one another. Each has something different to offer. Designers and pattern-makers look at traditional designs differently, draw on ever-new inspirations and frame them within familiar forms.

As every year, Artistic Ceramics reigns supreme. Other ceramics can only envy such a harmonious combination of form and decoration. The forms of the Artistic Ceramics Artistic Handicraft Cooperative are decorated tastefully, richly and harmoniously. Bowls and cups are filled with floral compositions: they spread like a meadow across plates and saucers. These are the best decorations at this and previous exhibitions, created by Maria Starzyk and Teresa Liana. Poppies, cornflowers, grasses and delicate daisies, as well as—this year—swallows, are painted on the light and highly modern forms created by Mariusz Ochocki.

Zakłady Ceramiczne Bolesławiec presented contrasting designs. White bowls on dark, almost black plates, with strongly accentuated decorative fragments arranged across the vessels. ZC Bolesławiec dinnerware will be the dominant feature on the table. Here, the form is strongly emphasized: powerful, concrete and well constructed. Connoisseurs will certainly admire the shapes designed by Janina Bany-Kozłowska and decorated by Danuta Amborska.

At first glance, the presentation by Fabryka Naczyń Kamionkowych „Manufaktura” seems modest and inconspicuous. Especially since the exhibition consists of bathroom accessories arranged on a bathroom countertop. Yet there is something intriguing in this simplicity: the laconic nature of the form and decoration, and the simplicity of the idea. Designer and pattern-maker Magdalena Gazur drew inspiration from water as a creative element. It must be acknowledged that seeking new settings for Bolesławiec ceramics, beyond the table and kitchen, is also a valuable path for development.
