The work will involve removing the old asphalt surface, laying a new one and adjusting the curbs. Reconstruction of Rataja Street will begin soon. The tender for these works was won by Przedsiębiorstwo Transportu Budowlanego, which offered the most advantageous price—approximately PLN 977,000. The work is scheduled to be completed in mid-September this year.
In the near future, tenders will be announced for the reconstruction of additional streets: Marynarska and Asnyka.
As announced by Mayor Tadeusz Krzakowski, these investments will improve travel from Chojnowska Street toward the southern arterial road. They will also make travel more convenient along the shortcut from the Jaworzyńska–Oświęcimska roundabout, along the park, to Powstańców Śląskich and Witelona streets. Traffic safety and flow will also improve, and road capacity will increase.
