On Thursday (13 July), the doubles team of Łukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo defeated the Finnish-Australian pair Henri Kontinen/John Peers 6:3, 6:7 (4-7), 6:2, 4:6, 9:7 after a closely contested match. It is the second Grand Slam final in the career of the tennis player from Bolesławiec. In 2014, Łukasz triumphed at the Australian Open alongside Swede Robert Lindstedt.

The 16th-seeded Austrian Oliver Marach and Croatian Mate Pavić will be the opponents of Łukasz Kubot and Brazilian Marcelo Melo (4th seed) in the Wimbledon Grand Slam final. The Austrian-Croatian pair eliminated Poland's Marcin Matkowski and Belarusian Maks Mirny in the quarterfinals. The decisive men's doubles match will take place on Saturday.
