Astronomical summer has begun, which means that residents of our county will be spending more time by the water. However, the safest option is to swim in supervised areas. The waters belonging to the Polish Angling Association, including the popular Krępnica (the reservoir in the village of Krępnica, Bolesławiec Municipality), are certainly not such places.

Swimming in Polish Angling Association waters is prohibited. “The website of the Polish Angling Association states that swimming is prohibited in our reservoirs,” Janusz Latoch, county commander of the Social Fisheries Guard in Bolesławiec, told istotne.pl _.

“This is not due to any spite on our part,” the head of the Social Fisheries Guard stresses. At Krępnica, people may fish and sail boats if they have the appropriate permits. Swimming, however, is prohibited. And if someone drowns there after breaking the ban, the Polish Angling Association will not be held responsible for the accident.

It is worth noting that swimming in a prohibited area may result in a fine of up to PLN 250. A list of waters belonging to the Association can be found on the website of the Jelenia Góra branch of the Polish Angling Association.
