During the discussion on granting a vote of approval to President Piotr Roman, the heads of all City Council caucuses spoke: Dariusz Filistyński (Forum), Zdzisław Abramowicz (Ziemia Bolesławiecka and PiS), and Arkadiusz Krzemiński (Platforma Samorządowa), as well as councillors Łukasz Jaźwiec and Wojciech Kasprzyk. There was not a single critical comment on the implementation of last year’s budget. That is, until unaffiliated councillor Dariusz Mucha joined the discussion:

A little too much flattery. The president once said: being president is not the difficult part; the difficult part is having a team capable of implementing his visions. I congratulate him on that team. I would like those people to receive more recognition.

Piotr Roman: “We have managed to create a good atmosphere in Bolesławiec. There is a contest for the city. We have created a professional and consistent team that sometimes makes risky decisions. It is very important how many entities are becoming involved in this contest for the city. We avoid party-political and ideological disputes. Some presidents did not receive a vote of approval for that reason. We do not discuss politics. We have different views, but we are trying to build something together.

“What are the priorities?” the president continued. “The point is still to involve as many people as possible in this contest for the city. We would like to devote this year and the following years to making the city even more friendly to its residents; we want to create what is known as a smart city. Ecology is an absolute priority. In this contest, we will try to win as much funding as possible to reduce emissions of gases and dust in Bolesławiec.

The councillors unanimously granted a vote of approval to President Piotr Roman.
