Various artistic activities and a charming location away from the hustle and bustle of the city—all this makes the Creative Work House in Parzyce unique. It officially opened on Tuesday, 11 November. The centre was the idea of Robert Relich, the mayor of Nowogrodziec. The project will be overseen by a married couple of renowned artists: Urszula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz and Czesław Matyjewicz.

The centre’s offer is addressed to everyone: children, young people and adults. Mr and Mrs Matyjewicz even want to organise workshops lasting several days here. “We are also thinking about foreigners—Europeans, Americans and Japanese,” says Urszula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz. “There are many people who want to experience ceramics, clay, stone and wood firsthand—all the things referred to as hand-made and which may seem distant to some,” she adds.

“We want Mr and Mrs Matyjewicz to attract as many people interested in art as possible,” notes Robert Relich. The authorities of Nowogrodziec will seek to invite local entrepreneurs to cooperate. The aim is for the Creative Work House to become an important cultural centre in the region and beyond its borders.
