On Tuesday, our company welcomed a group of tourists from Tokyo who represented a Japanese school for people planning to open a café in the future. The guests also included school graduates who run their own café businesses in Tokyo. One part of their education is the art of brewing coffee. As Sanae Tomita, head of Cafe’s Kitchen school, reports, the products manufactured by our company are practically ideal for brewing and enjoying coffee, as well as products served by Japanese cafés. (The group also included Sylwia Kato, a journalist for Japanese television station TBS.)
The Japanese visitors chose Bolesławiec and the Artistic Handicraft Cooperative thanks to one of our main customers in the Land of the Rising Sun, the company Re:accent. As the company’s representative and also our translator, Mari Kohayakawa, told us, the Japanese are delighted with our products, their shapes and decorations, some of which were designed especially for them.
Especially for the current and future owners of cafés in Tokyo, we organized a short workshop on the difficult art of decorating Bolesławiec ceramics.
