The first run, the “Spring Run”, will take place this Saturday, 22 April. This year, it has an additional distinction. It will be an international event organised as part of the “Connected by a River” project, implemented by the Municipality of Bolesławiec and the city of Česká Lípa. The project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund and by the state budget, with the support of the Nysa Euroregion. The event has received honorary patronage from Piotr Roman, president of the Association of Polish Municipalities of the Nysa Euroregion.
“The traditional elements of Bolesławiec’s runs between the bridges will not be missing, including pea soup and a prize draw among all participants. The recreational nature of the event and the basic rules of the series—distances and scoring—also remain unchanged,” the organisers say. “In line with the suggestions received, minor amendments have been introduced to the regulations, including those concerning age categories.”
They add: “See you on 22 April from 11:00 at the Water and Sports Centre on Spacerowa Street, because … anyone can run, a little faster or a little slower.”
