The district veterinarian Joanna Ligór-Tkacz informs that, pursuant to the regulation of the Minister of Agriculture of 5 April, the following is ordered:

  • keeping poultry in a manner that limits its contact with wild birds
  • feeding and watering poultry in a manner that protects feed and water from access by wild birds
  • keeping poultry in a manner that prevents its access to bodies of water
  • storing poultry feed in a manner that prevents it from being contaminated by wild bird droppings
  • reporting to the district veterinarian the locations where poultry is kept
  • placing disinfectant mats in front of entrances to and exits from livestock buildings.

The following is prohibited:

  • watering poultry from reservoirs accessible to wild birds
  • bringing the carcasses of wild or game birds onto the farm premises.
