During the March session of the Bolesławiec County Council, the issue of an operating theatre at the county ZOZ returned. “We have just hosted our German partner, with whom we have begun the procedure for preparing an application for funding to construct a new medical complex in Bolesławiec. One of the functions of this complex will be an operating theatre,” Deputy Starost of Bolesławiec County Tomasz Gabrysiak explained to the councillors Tomasz Gabrysiak.
The project budget is currently being finalised. It is known, however, that the Bolesławiec part of the investment will cost PLN 12–14 million.
As T. Gabrysiak explained, the County, together with its German partner, is preparing to submit an application for a grant (of nearly EUR 2 million), which is to take place at the turn of August and September this year. The Bolesławiec County Board estimates that a decision on awarding the funding will be made at the beginning of 2018. And if everything goes according to plan, the new medical complex, including the operating theatre, will open in 2019.
