That was not how it was supposed to look is what a BKS supporter will say about Sunday’s match. Bolesławiec unexpectedly drew with the local LZS in Niwnice, snatching a draw in the final moments of the match. In the previous round, BKS defeated the same opponent 4–0 at home. On Sunday in Niwnice, the match ended in a draw. The points were shared after an generally poor spectacle, in which the visitors attacked while the hosts (at times) defended desperately, clearing the ball wherever they could. Little happened on the pitch in the first half. BKS attacked, but shots were few and far between.
The shot by Mirosław Markowski, after which the ball bounced off the crossbar of the hosts’ goal, was worth noting. The Bolesławiec team struggled on the uneven pitch. The controversial decisions of the referee, who, for example, failed to see handballs by the hosts’ players in the penalty area, also drove BKS players and officials to distraction.
Sunday’s match only came to life towards the end of the second half, after Niwnice took the lead. The home side converted a penalty in the 80th minute, with Damian Koman scoring. The hosts did not enjoy their lead for long. In the final moments of the match (the 88th minute), after a fine move down the left flank and a pass from Łukasz Graczyk, Krzysztof Dmuchowski scored to make it 1–1, on his BKS debut. It is worth noting that the player came on in the 65th minute, replacing Paweł Rissmann. In added time, Łukasz Graczyk was brought down in Niwnice’s penalty area, but the referee remained unmoved and the BKS players’ protests came to nothing. In Niwnice, BKS drew 1–1 with the local LZS. Next week, the Bolesławiec team will host Chrobry Nowogrodziec, who in the same round defeated LZS Łaziska 3–1.
